Time to Start Packing
It seems like our trip is still a long time off, but now is the time to start getting your gear together. If you see you need something you still have plenty of time to order it our go shopping. Don’t forget, everything you take needs to be labeled. It needs your name and our unit number.
If you have decided to get a new pair of hiking boots for this trip, you also need to start breaking them in. You will not be happy if our first day in Washington DC i...

HAVE A GREAT AND SAFE MEMORIAL DAY
I hope all of you have an enjoyable and safe Memorial Day Weekend. Sometime over the weekend, please don’t forget to take a moment and remember all of those people that have given the ultimate sacrifice to our country. While it is much easier to remember these folks when we are standing in front a marble wall or inside 7 acres of columns in Washington DC, it is just as important on a weekend like this.
Last call for Patches (and shirts and...

SHAKEDOWN RECAP…
It was great to have cool weather for a May campout at Pirtle. Everyone seemed to have a great time with all the activities. Mr. Hightower’s patch trading 101 class was very popular and I hoped you found it interesting. The gear list that was given to the parents at the parents meeting is at the end of today’s newsletter. If you have turned in your health form and insurance card, you do not need to do anything else. We will scan them and save them. We ...

Troop A318 Recap and Frequently Asked Questions
If you have not looked at the calendar lately, you might have missed the fact that the Jamboree is only about 80 days away. While that is enough time for Phileas Fogg to go around the world it is not much time for us. It would not be a bad plan at this point to review some of the past newsletters and double check the details, but I also want to reiterate ...

E.T.A.C. JAMBO TROOP A318
Volume 1, Issue 2 February 20, 2013 February 2013
Welcome to Troop 688, I mean Troop A318
National has recently informed us that our Troop designation will change to A318. We think that means we will be in Village A, by the Consol Energy Bridge near the entrance to Adventure Valley, but things are changing rapidly, so you never know. Our sister Troop is now D425 and the crew is numberless. As you might guess, the D designation locates them in villa...
